In ring with the festive season, new cases for Apple iPhones have been reportedly developed that light up every time a call or an alert is received.

The flashing iPhone covers by VanD are available in a variety of styles for iPhone 5/5S and iPhone 5C.

According to Cnet, by tweaking a little-known iOS setting, LED flash for alerts, the case lights up to display a nifty embedded pattern every time a call, text, message, e-mail, or other alert is received.

The alert send the LED flash redistributed throughout the entire casing, which means the effect of the lighting is seen not just on the back panel but on the sides as well.

It requires no additional battery power and costs 19.99 dollars, the report added.
